The plot of Malina Prześluga’s play, taking place in the World's Smallest Kingdom, is transported to a television studio. Director Paweł Aigner allows
the audience to follow both the live movement onstage and the processed camera image. The greatest value of the play lies precisely at the intersection
of these two dimensions – the screen and the stage. The annoyed Shutterette, daughter of the Royal Couple, doesn’t want to take part in preparations to
the ball, so she casts a spell on her parents to make them disappear. It doesn’t take long for the girl to start missing them. However, bringing them back
turns out to be a rather daunting task. Shutterette has to embark on a dangerous journey, during which she will meet such extraordinary characters as
the Stocking Ladder, the Fox, the Mosquito and the Watch.
„The World’s Smallest Ball” is the first multimedia play in Poland that connects the puppet theatre technique with television and film techniques
(predominantly the blue box).
The performance was awarded by the Polish ASSITEJ Centre with a „Certificate of High Quality and Artistic Level”.
